Whether that be the good kind of shock or the bad, maybe a series was better than expected, maybe it was worse, maybe the ending was awful, maybe the ending was fantastic, maybe it was far darker and real than you were expecting, or maybe far less.
For me it’s definitely White Angels Have No Wings, how far it was willing to go in terms of the characters, how it built up to the ending, and how it ended, just shocking to the core.
On the other hand though is Lily, excellent 9/10 throughout most of the story, a nice slow burn with realistic character and relationship developments, then just an awful ending that betrays the core of one of the characters.
Idk if I’d say shocked but NTR Netsuzou Trap (the Manga) was definitely a special experience for me. Great in the beginning, soap opera stuff in the middle (I don’t really like that part, so much unnecessary drama) and a nice ending.
