Last night on a certain 10:00 show (which I won’t name, in order to respect rule 5), they were talking about a loophole where a president/governor/mayor (of a number of countries but also in business) could have an unlimited number of terms by being a running mate before the actual candidate resigns, giving the candidacy to the running mate each time. I’ve seen this on lower levels (e.g. governor, mayor, etc.) often, and, being involved in local affairs myself, kinda have benefitted. I say all of this in a neutral tone and in a legal context, not in a context of polity.
