I might be late to the party, but I saw this band last week for the first time after hearing almost nothing of theirs before (went mostly for their co-headliner Alex G), and WOW - what a performance. Their latest record has been living rent-free in my head ever since. I haven’t been this blown away by an indie pop record in years, maybe since Beach House’s Bloom. From start to heartbreaking finish, not a minute wasted. I recommend a listen.
I can’t tell you how much I love Alvvays. They are playing my city in December and I can’t wait to see them.
