I know what debut means I just was not really sure we don’t use a different word for it.

Just looked up the etymology and there are both male and female versions. Debitant and debitantka. It comes from German debütant from french debutant. Apparently debutant is also a legitimate spelling. As are debi and debut for well… debut.
