I just updated my unifi controller to v7.5.174 and decided to try out the new interface. Turns out this upgrade decided to wipe out my WAN VLAN ID of 0, which caused my eap_proxy script to freak out and I was unable to obtain a public WAN IP.
I’ve now fixed the issue, but I’m confused about the requirement of selecting either 1, 2 or 3 for the QoS Tag setting. The help tool tip states:
Tag egress traffic with this Class of Service QoS Mark, where required by your ISP
I tried googling my butt off but I’m just not finding the ELi5 answer of which number I need to select. I went ahead and selected 1 so I could test if my network recovered, and so far everything is working fine, I just don’t want this setting to cause later grief since I don’t understand why a selection is required in the first place.
