A cave diver says there is a very good chance a sinkhole that appeared in Mount Gambier on Sunday is connected to other passages under South Australia’s second-largest city.

Mount Gambier is absolutely riddled with sinkholes and caverns. It really surprises me that there isn’t more geological survey done in the area.
Definitely not a surprise to see a sinkhole like this open up down there, as you say it’s riddled with underground formations.
