anakin-padme-2 by “Chinese ruling class” you mean capital owners and not the CPC right?

anakin-padme-4 youre talking abt the billionaires right?

link bc im not a LIB

    • fr, especially in the case of China. like capitalists are still somewhat powerful there, but the Party still has enough power to sufficiently control and discipline them. also “ruling class” a lot of the time is just rightist conspiracy speak for Jews

SAlt also didn’t win the 15 dollar minimum wage, it was a coalition of democratic party muscle and labor unions (but I repeat myself) that they opportunistically leeched on to in order to grow their ranks.

when you meet a trot theyre either a real trot or a neocon. and even the real trots still do the state departments job for them.

is this sectarian? idk if we have any trots on here. i think its possible to have left unity with trots, just very few of them

Yeah I mean I don’t think we have a lot of Trots because basically the only thing we insist on is supporting anti-imperialist struggle and that is like the one thing they refuse to do

I go to a local trot group. I go to a couple of other local leftist groups too when the mood strikes me. I try to interact with a variety of spaces so I can be exposed to different positions and see how I feel about them.

I guess I’m a trot? I hardly think Russia or China are shining examples of communism, and also aren’t great for LGBT rights. Only one way to find out though - it’s a pipe dream but I’d like to travel to China at some point to experience what it’s like over there. (Yes, I know it’s a big country and there are a lot of different parts of China, blah blah blah.) At my core I believe millionaires shouldn’t exist and then I expand my politics from there in any compatible way.

I’m not commenting here to debate my politics, I’m just letting you know that I exist and I continue to love all the comrades of Hexbear whether they be tankies or something else. And you’ve all definitely opened my mind to a brand of leftism that doesn’t see any local representation!

I may be a trot or I may be the ultimate left unity enthusiast. So yay! Love you all.

I spent three weeks in China (Beijing area) about ten years ago on a school trip. Loved every minute of it and part of me wishes I could uproot everything and teach ESL over there or something, but I keep telling myself I need to actually learn mandarin first.

why do they, as an american, need to have a stance against any foreign leaders? what’s the point of this other than to pick pointless fights with your less chauvinist partymates? what would an american succ even do? tell Xi to knock it off? Impose sanctions? Enact regime change? Carry on business as usual for empire? Wow real awesome work then western left

“well you see it’s more nuanced than just USA bad. It’s actually China bad, USA also-bad-but-less-so. In other words my nuance is that we are the good guys (but we could be better) and they are the bad guys. Same as it ever was”

Now, who should I put my faith for workers being able to seize the means of production in? The leadership and party cadre of a country with the most people in the world that regularly punishes billionaires, or a tiny American leftist group who hasn’t even managed to place someone in charge of a large American city, let alone bring justice for the working class?

The only thing the 白左 hate more than the ruling class of America is believing something contrary to what said ruling class tells you about other countries.

I had multiple arguments with this person on their multiple accounts. And the only takeaway I had was that they have never done any actual organising and that they really aren’t left at all. I questioned whether they were actually in Socialist Alternative tbh because their responses were so fundamentally bad faith all the time and often came across as lying.

Daily reminder that Irish revolutionaries wanted to enlist the help of the German Kaiser in providing weapons and other military equipment. They purposely timed the Easter Rising while the UK was at war with the Germany empire, but I guess that’s “campism.” Irish people should’ve just marched with “neither Berlin nor London” signs instead.

      Marx fundraised for the Ottomans

Lenin worked with the capitalist German government to arrange transport and resources for his return to Russia, they gave him a much needed boost

Mao worked with the national bourgeois to defeat the Japanese invaders and imperialists

Time and time again we see that alleged “campism” is often just pragmatism and necessary coalition forming by states, and socialists who defend those states against western attacks. Yeah, I’m a campist. The real socialist camp. Where the actual socialist global movement is happening, I’m with that camp, I’m siding with them. Deal with it westoids.
