IDK about other people but it makes me feel sick to the stomach being federated with such content. I don’t really have any problems with Lemm.ee as a whole but I feel like having an uncritical Nazi salute on the network goes against everything Blahaj stands for.

I’m ok with conservatives that aren’t conspiracy-driven. They can’t seem to self-moderate though. Anti-vax, and odd religious beliefs that they choose to impose on others is where I would draw the line.

Lots of people on the AskConservatives sub reddit for instance are against a lot of what has occurred in the last month.

I don’t know how to possibly moderate a community like that.

Are you OK with conservatives that are anti-LGBT+, for example? Conservative is an umbrella that includes a lot of bigotry, I’m not sure we should really pretend that is worth defending or tolerating, particularly with regards to the context of the pro-LGBT+ Blahaj instance, who hosts many people who are victimized by conservative ideology. Sure, conservative lemmy instances exist, but you are in the Blahaj meta community, and the question is how we should relate to those communities and instances that oppose our existence …

I’m not. They’re the ones outlawing abortion and trying to eliminate trans people. They’re the ones that are okay with discrimination and bigotry. They’re the ones okay with rounding up immigrants and sending them to camps. There is no reason to tolerate their intolerance and their ideology is based upon oppressing anyone that isn’t male, rich, and white.

Conservatism is inherently anti-trans. I’d rather not have anyone on lemmy argue against my right to self determination.

‘Don’t care’ often means that they don’t want to acknowledge our existence and thus block measures that make our existence possible like trans healthcare or anti discrimination laws. Effectively it’s the same as being anti-trans.
