    Yes, for all of the small businesses that flourished through their market place. For all of the neurodivergent people that found a community of others that helped them with their own daily issues.

    You may not have liked the platform but there were many, many of us who did.

      There are a thousand other places where you can find similar communities that aren’t owned by the CCP.

            I am on the Internet via a data harvesting device. Someone, somewhere is harvesting my data. I may as well enjoy what I am doing while having it harvested. And at this point I trust the Chinese Government (who does not own Bytedance) more than I trust the US Government.

              Well, that’s an incredibly naive position.

              The CCP is an incredibly shady and oppressive government, and while they may not legally own Bytedance, the distinction is irrelevant because they have access to absolutely everything, necessarily, by Chinese law. There are government agents who are legally required to be hired in their offices. And if you think the only things they know about you are your personal interests, you are sorely mistaken.

              Also privacy is not a binary concept. Just because some entities are able to harvest some of your data does not mean you should freely give absolutely all of your data to every company.
