The fact that purple comes from an American patriotic song doesn’t help, but it’s actually not the main reason I’m docking reasonableness. I’m familiar with the song despite not being American…probably thanks to movies and TV or something. No, the main reason I object to that clue is because “last words of a song” is just a bad concept for a category. Especially if the last 4 words of the song aren’t used, since they include a repeat, and you have to stretch to the 5th-last word.
