This is just a cat cafe with booze.
Actually, that’s better. No notes.
No thanks, we have drinking alone with the cat at home.
But this is drinking in groups with the cats! Also I can’t speak for sure, but as a woman it would be a draw for me, so I would imagine there might be more women present than at other pubs. Of course, they may be paying more attention to the cats than the men. But petting the cats can be a conversation starter and a way to demonstrate what kind of human being you are.
(Edit: I realize I’m assuming a Lemmyite is male even though I’m not.)(Edit edit: the above would also apply if one were a woman or enby who wants to meet women who like cats)
If one prefers to remain at home with one’s special cat, at least the cats would mitigate if one had to meet at the pub for social/professional reasons.
You’re not wrong. I was, however, just making a joke. I’m up voting your earnestness.
But this is drinking in groups with the cats!
You don’t understand. I already have the best possible companion at home, I don’t need the group!
Pub owner knows how to get the cats to sit – random cardboard box lids haha
And seeing they’re stretched and deformed shows they get a lot of use.
I blame the second cat. First one is a proper dainty loaf. The one behind him is spilling out of that lid. He CHONK.
The cats or the boxes?
Are the pussycats stretched and deformed and seem to get a lot of use? ಠ_ಠ
Third one from the end looks a little stretched.
Can’t believe that glass at the bottom of the photo has survived being on the counter without a cat pawing it off.
The picture is from the Bag O Nails pub on St George Road, in case you wanted to visit. (or see more photos from whatever social media)
I’m from Bristol! This pub is called the Bag Of Nails, and while some people aren’t fans (the place naturally smells of cats and you’re not getting food there) I love going there for a drink and to spend time with some friendly cats. It’s always fairly busy, and is a nice talking point when I head for a beer with people that aren’t from the area.
Wonder if they fancy the milk stout
Any idea which pub this is? Next time I visit family there I’d love to go.
Apparently it’s the Bag O Nails pub on St George Road, according ti another comment
Pub cats are an important part of culture in the UK.
I can feel my allergies flaring up
a lotta loaves 🙃
a pint of toxoplasmosis, please!
I’m guessing anyone patronizing a pub that is crawling with cats has already been exposed to toxoplasmosis, to be fair.
The parasite commands you to go back to the cats pub
