The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has adopted a ‘click to cancel’ rule, which aims to make it easier for people to end subscriptions.
It will force companies to make subscription sign-ups and cancellations equally straightforward.
Businesses, including retailers and gyms, will also have to get consent from customers before renewing subscriptions or converting free trials into paid memberships.
The new rule is due to come into effect in around six months’ time.

Regulations are trying to get in the way of economically productive businesses like mine. /s
To be fair, I’m sure many of them are already working as hard as they can to make sure these new rules never do.
That’s how it always works. Break the government so they can say the government is broken.

Meteorologists employed by the government can give us plenty of warning, paid by us taxpayers, rather than having to fork over cash to AccuWeather.
Plenty of civil service government jobs do the same thing and it’s incredibly ignorant to assume that they’re an IRS Boogeyman “revenuer” out to get you.
