Title, I’m interested to see how many bugs everyone has experienced so far this season. If there’s any more, I’d love to know because I find them to be really funny. This is not to hate on Blizzard (mostly), I just had this list sitting around and wanted to put it somewhere. I’ll add stuff to the list as I read comments, I might’ve missed some bugs.
Additional information: I run around 10 keys per day or more between +7 and +10. I might experience a lot more bugs than the average player because I spam so many dungeons per day. I also mainly pug, so every run is very different, leading me to see many more bugs. I mainly play Discipline Priest and Holy Paladin and will sometimes off spec dps. I haven’t tanked this season so I may be unaware of any tanking bugs.
Siege of Boralus
- Irontide Raider: can clip into terrain and pull players into said terrain, causing their game to repeatedly disconnect.
- First boss (Chopper Redhook): can be pulled by abilities that shouldn’t affect things that aren’t in combat, often resulting in a wipe (happens in 8/10 runs)
- 2nd Boss (Dread Captain Lockwood): has a chance to spawn 2 sets of adds in one rotation (supposedly fixed)
- 2nd Boss (Dread Captain Lockwood): If 2 players pick up the cannon at the same time, both players will get the ability to shoot at the boss. This means that if one player were to save their cannon, they could immediately shoot the boss when it jumps back on the boat again.
Mists Of Tirna Scythe
- Last boss (Tred’ova): Green puddles (Decomposition Pools) can be completely invisible and still do damage
Grim Batol
- Twilight Lavabender: while Ascended, has a chance for the ability visual for Shadowlava Blast to be delayed or not in sync, resulting in it appearing almost instantly cast. (not sure if this one is intentional, but it’s not in the ability description)
- Faceless Corruptor: If it dies as Mind Piercer finishes casting, the ability will be completely invisible and still be able to do damage.
- 2nd boss (Forgemaster Throngus): The boss can get stuck on the very edge of the platform briefly while chasing the tank, resulting in the boss twitching and walking in circles. It’s beneficial for the tank since he doesn’t do anything when this happens, but it’s still buggy as hell.
Necrotic Wake
- 1st boss (Blightbone): the grub adds can clip into the stairs, resulting in them evading and potentially resetting the boss.
- 2nd boss (Amarth, The Harvester): Using Discharged Anima on the boss will visually interrupt its casts, however, it will continue to shoot out bolts despite the cast bar saying that it has been interrupted.
- 3rd boss (Surgeon Stitchflesh): Stichflesh’s Creation’s hook has multiple problems, such as the chance to hook pets or completely missing despite being perfectly aimed at the boss.
- 4th boss (Nalthor the Rimebender): It is possible to use abilities such as Greater Invis or Feign Death to avoid being targeted by Dark Exile from the boss, however, this makes it possible for the boss to select the healer instead. Furthermore, the player picked to go down to the gauntlet from this misdirected Dark Exile will not be sent to the gauntlet, but instead, end up flying in circles endlessly around the arena until the group eventually wipes. This can be self inflicted by using self stunning trinkets as well, such as Concoction: Kiss of Death which can stun you for 5 seconds. If stunned mid-air, you will be released and fall to your death.
The Dawnbreaker
- The Dawnbreaker has a chance to not spawn at all–Can happen in m+
(have yet to encounter in M+) - Players can sometimes clip through the ships, falling to their death
- Players can disconnect if they fly into the ropes on the ship
- One of the casters on the ship that doesn’t need to be killed can aggro, often on the healer, and it has seemingly infinite range. If not killed, the healer will be repeatedly bolted until it is dead or the healer dies.
- Players randomly get the shadowy visual from when they are about to die to darkness when they aren’t. I’ve had this bug occur every few minutes once, even in the middle of boss fights.
- First Boss (Speaker Shadowcrown): Darkness Comes ability visual does not accurately depict its size. The hitbox is slightly larger than the visual.
- First Boss (Speaker Shadowcrown): Players can clip INTO the ship and get stuck, resulting in the player being unable to do anything until Darkness Comes eventually kills the player. Furthermore, the player’s corpse will not move above the ship until the encounter has ended, so a battle ress is not an option.
- Abilities can act strangely due to the moving terrain, such as Entropic Rift, Consecration, and Jadefire Stomp. Entropic Rift tends to float behind mobs, dealing no damage. Consecration can spawn on the ceiling. Jadefire Stomp seems to just spawn anywhere but where it’s cast.
- 2nd Boss (Anub’ikkaj): Dark Orb can clip some weird terrain, causing it to blow up earlier than expected. Not sure how they’d fix this one.
- Dying during the 2nd boss, then releasing back on the boat has a chance to not give you the ability to mount up, resulting in the player being unable to rejoin the group down below.
(might be fixed) - Dying during the 2nd boss can move your corpse to the airship, making you out of range for a combat ress.
- 3rd Boss (Rasha’nan) has a similar problem like the first boss in Siege (Chopper Redhook) where it can be pulled by abilities despite being not in combat. Can result in a wipe if the tank isn’t close enough.
- 3rd Boss (Rasha’nan) Spinneret’s Strands can sometimes be completely invisible, resulting in webs being dropped in the middle of the group. Happened to the Ret Paladin in my group, soon after their Bubble ended.
- 3rd Boss (Rasha’nan): After defeating the boss, while riding on the small boat back up to the main boat, there is a very small chance for the entire group to die to darkness on the way back. Has happened to me 4 times and can be detrimental if you do not have 100% before defeating the last boss.
- Chance for bosses to despawn with the new affix (Void Emissary) spawning (supposedly fixed)
Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
- Last boss (Ki’katal the Harvester): Near the stars to the left of the arena is a web that will give you a slowing debuff if you stand in it. If the boss is pulled when this debuff is active, the debuff is permanent until death. Freedom, Bubble, and Tiger’s lust does not remove the debuff or prevent the slowing effect.
The Stonevault
Have yet to encounter any bugs
City of Threads
- The Eye of the Queen pack closest to the Vizier has a chance to start evading immediately after spawning. Happens 50% of the time–it’s always the one that spawns on the table or whatever decoration is there.
- The very first Eye of the Queen spy, if pulled too early, can run away before being revealed. This results in having to find it roaming around the area eventually. The group will also be permanently in combat until it is found and killed.
- Not really a bug, but there’s a giant beetle that has beetle pets that can aggro and will keep you permanently in combat until death, even if you kill the little beetles.
Other
- Double jumping to activate flying mounts has a chance to cause the player to disconnect
