I’ve just “inherited” a bunch of .psd/photoshop and .pspimage/paint shop pro image files whose thumbnails I’d like to be able to view (I can open them in GIMP) in my regular file browser which is Nemo. I just found out about XnView MP for Linux, which seems like it will open just about any type of image file you can throw at it. However, what XnView doesn’t seem to do is generate thumbnails (perhaps not it’s intended purpose?), at least not for those two file types. I know I could just convert the images, but if possible, I’d like to keep them as they are. Is there some way to make XnView create thumbnails in its settings?

.psd-thumbnails work for me on ubuntu 22.04, xnview mp 1.6.1

i had problems with alpha/transparency in thumbnails which rendered them black or broken, but i’m not sure how i fixed it 🤔

i know that’s probably not really useful 😅
