I don’t play Age of Mythology but that was a fun and intense watch. Maybe a bit anticlimactic. Those Colossus units are brutal.
Oh nice! I’m curious as someone who doesn’t play, what was it that made you decide to watch it at all? Do you play AoE2 or 4, or some other RTS? Or it just showed up in your feed and sheer curiosity?
Honestly, it was the clickbaity title :)
But also it was a good reason to see the remake. I played a bit of AoM back in the day, but didn’t really click with the Age games. I like RTS games though, mostly C&C and Warcraft. I loved Rise of Nations, which feels very similar to the Age games.
I was watching Survivalist stream this live, and then switched over to also watch Boit’s stream on a 30 minute delay. It may very well be the most intense 1v1 game of Age of Mythology we’ll ever see…or at least it’s up there. It certainly does a fantastic job of showing off what makes Retold an excellent remake.
