      We have this discussion every week. Everyone wants to drop Martinelli because of his lack of form, and it turns out that Trossard can’t replicate what he brings.

        Isn’t this why we all wanted to sign Williams? To bench Martinelli and still have Trossard coming on to work his magic.

          I think Williams was just because people were exasperated that we couldn’t find winger backup for either side. And to be fair, Sterling is that guy.

            I’m not sure. News was released that we were interested before the Olympics and then after there was news that we were withdrawing interest before he only wanted Barcelona and then news was released once more to say we were interested again. I don’t think there’s that much smoke without fire.

              Truthfully, I don’t know what to believe anymore when it comes to transfer rumors. It seems like 75% of them are fabricated or intentionally leaked to facilitate deals.

                There’s definitely a level of showpersonship with transfer. Everything we hear about is on purpose. The clubs use rumours to flirt and agents use rumours to drum up interest and push things through.
