I mean, while the dude definitely needs to pay better attention to compartmentalizing his job and private stuff, can we not move past the tired old idea that being a sexual entity is some kind of horrible thing?

Like, it’s 2024, kinks are a well known thing, and it didn’t involve anything that would hurt someone else (no cp, no rape, just someone shoving something in one of their holes).

IDGAF what the guy’s job is, he’s a human with human flaws. He fucked up using the same computer for home and work, oh well.

Or was there something intentional about it I’m not getting from the text? If not, is it really that big a deal that the dude has unusual porn tastes?

Does the text suggest that idea? The issue is that the teacher was using a school computer to store and watch porn. In a class room. The unintended video playback is just one of many potential consequences.

Thank you for voicing the sensible, human and empathetic argument.

I would not fire the guy from his job, however, I would give him endless shit for using a work computer to watch porn. That’s just dumb.

Computers are cheap. Even free if you keep an eye out. Old stuff gets thrown out all the time. Even the school probably upgrades now and then, though they might have a recycling contract.
