CN and CPKC locked out employees across Canada on Thursday 22 Aug 2024, due to a labour dispute between them and Teamsters Canada Rail Conference.

    Labour Minister MacKinnon has announced he is imposing final binding arbitration with the CIRB (Canadian Industrial Relation Board) between the two parties.

    Specifically:

    • Issuing Binding Arbitration
    • Demanding Resumption of Activities
    • Extending Existing Collective Agreements
