I was just wondering everyone’s favorite level(s) were/are. You can explain why you like it, or you can just name drop the level you like most.
Mine are probably:
-
Assault on The Control Room, I love the big epic set pieces of the level, and it has probably the best/most “examples” of what Halo is as a game than any other in CE. You have big weapons, vehicles, large open battles, and awesome music.
-
Delta Halo from Halo 2. I love the lush jungle setting and going through the underwater elevator is always fun. Plus I love just beating the hell out of Truth.
-
Halo, from Halo 3. Like Assault on The Control Room, this level has it all
Call me crazy, but I liked The Library. Yes, it was repetitive, but I can see what Bungie was going for and I absolutely love it.
Assault on the Control Room was good as well. Two Betrayals was a good level. Honestly, every level in Halo CE was good.
Library is more fun as an adult.
I’ll stick to my favorite of each of the original trilogy to keep this post from being a book.
CE: AotC or Silent Carog, AotC set the bar for levels which use every part of the Halo sandbox with big vehicle sections and tight corridors and Silent Cartog because I have so fond memories of playing the CE PC demo over and over again.
H2: Delta Halo for the same reasons as AotC, plus ODSTs!
H3: The Covenant: AA wraith, Hornet Section, scorpion section, TWO Scarabs with so many ways to take them down. Awesome.
