My dad likes to tell stories about him and his brothers driving on a local pond in their teenage years because it froze thick enough to do so. It hasn’t frozen over since I was in middle school.

I’m more mid-ohio, myself, and the winters have gotten much milder than they were in my childhood, unfortunately.
