    Dramatic 3-way sprint for the silver & bronze medal in the women’s road race, after the American easily got a 30+ second lead from about 2 km out. Photo finish necessary to see who got 2nd and 3rd.

    33 seconds to go, Australia v France women’s basketball. 74–70 to Aus. This has been an incredibly exciting last 2 minutes.

      11 seconds to go, 78–70. France calling their final time out, but from there I think it’s basically over. ggwp France.

      I’d love to see the free throw stats, because since I started watching (about 6 minutes left in the final quarter) I don’t think Australia has missed a free throw (6/6), but France missed at least 1 of the 2 I’ve seen them get. Wonder if, over the whole game, that made the differenc.

        5 seconds to go, 78–72, Australia calls time out (I assume? It didn’t actually pop up on screen why play was paused.)

        Not really sure why. Surely you can easily stall for 5 seconds since we’ve got the ball after France scored.

    Just watched the VOD of the men’s archery final, that was some incredible stuff. I feel bad for Ellison but you can’t ask for much more than that final when it comes to archery.

    That 100m sprint was absolutely out of this world. Lyle winning by 5 thousands!? What am I witnessing? This Olympics has just been absolute cinema.

    The women’s road race is currently not looking particularly exciting. Only a single rider in a single breakaway with 130 km to go.

    I dunno if I’ll be able to stay away for the end of it, with it being so late at night here.

    Table Tennis gold medal match. Swedish player has a weird racket with jagged edges, rather than the more conventional round shape. Wonder why?

      Don’t know why he uses that racquet, but I like it. Was a decent final overall but not as thrilling as some of Truls’s earlier matches. That super high lob was ball of the tournament though!
