If the commentators are saying “that’s a smart foul”, clearly your sport isn’t adequately penalising fouls. Deliberately committing a foul because one of your players is out of position should be a professional foul and suffer a much, much greater penalty.

Latvian BMX racer crashed. Watching it live it looked relatively minor, with a wheel just slipping out from under him as he went around the berm. On replay, it was so much worse. Yes, a wheel slip on the berm is what caused it, but he did a full 360 forward flip over the bars. Looked awful.
Brazil v Japan in the keepsie-upsies. Was looking like such an even match at first, but Japan absolutely fell apart in the second set.
Oh gods the women’s 4x200 free is so tense. Start of the final leg and it could go to Aus, US, or China. Impossible to tell.
And after 50 m on the final leg it’s already much clearer. Australia has this. US will be 2nd. Only question is whether Aus will break the world record.
No world record, unfortunately, but an Olympic record for Australia. Fantastic race!
