    If we are playing that game, what about the US blowing up Nordstream 2 pipeline to try and force the Europeans to buy overpriced LNG, which is substantially more climate intensive than gasified NG in pipelines.

    Aside from the Russians, which is a complicated geopolitical case, which right-wing governments do you think the Chinese support?

      No, we’re not playing any game.

      Russia is of course the military friend, but I wouldn’t expect them to become a progressive environmental force anyway.

      Clearest connections are with Hungary and euro parties such as AfD, True Finns, etc. One could argue that the net effect is not huge to prop up climate change deniers to obstruct governments around the globe, but it does raise eyebrows.
