There were just too many idiots for too long that were yelling down any discussion of Biden’s obvious ineptitude. Any time anyone would bring it up, they would just jam the “BoTh SiDeS” buttons on their keyboards. They completely fell into the trap of trying to crush discussion, and now we are left holding this senile old man as a candidate. It is almost certainly a lost cause at this point. Harris has half the payout of Biden on most sites where you can gamble on the results, and she isn’t even running. If we get anything out of this mess, I hope it is that the new generation of democrats coming up can see how toxic and self-sabotaging it is to try and shut down any conversation they dislike. It’s hard to compare apples to apples because of a change in the way things were measured, but by best estimates Biden got a comparable uncommitted vote share to Obama in 2012.
