There was a post earlier about things you’d wish you’d known about when you first got your Steam Deck, and I figured I’d add my no. 1 tip issued from the biggest mistake I made: write down or save your sudo password on a password manager once you set it!

The first time round I got cocky, because I set it up and installed a bunch of things, and then I didn’t use my deck for weeks. A month later, I was panicking as I looked up how to do a fresh install of the OS and start from scratch, and I wouldn’t wish that waste of time on anyone else. Lesson learnt.
