    Hmmmm. Hellboy and Hellboy 2 the Golden Army were amazing.

    I lasted about three minutes into that third pile of crap before finding something more interesting to do (the dishes).

    I hope this is good.

    Initial reaction is just “doesn’t look right”, but it’s probably just because Ron Pearlman IS Hellboy to me. I’m excited for it either way.

    I’ll give him a chance. I had the same initial reaction to Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick in the Amazon series, which was basically “this isn’t Patrick Warburton so it can’t be any good.” But I eventually watched the series and really liked it, even though Warburton is still the definitive version for me.

    I also thought David Harbour was alright even if the movie wasn’t very great, but Ron Perlman simply is Hellboy. That’ll never change, but he’s also probably never coming back so the choices are give the new guys a chance or never get another movie again.
