I would like to use wget or curl on Android, mostly to test my webserver against some rules that I set.

I do have Termux on my tablet, but it will no longer install new packages, seems to be abandoned, maybe?

Is there an app/way to have one or both of these commands working on Android (13) without root? My GoogleFoo is failing me.

Thanks for any hint.

    Check out Termux’s GitHub. I would link the issue but not sure if linking is allowed. You’ll find that the Play Store build is currently broken, but the F-Droid (alternative FOSS software store) build works fine.

        F-Droid is great. My understanding is that apps on F-Droid have to be free (as in freedom), and they build most apps from source so the builds are verifiable - they’ll exactly match the source code in the repo. It’s not just uploading a random APK that might be completely different from the code in the repo.

      termux is absolutely fantastic. if you like a nice, clean CLI then run (don’t walk) to f-droid and install.
