I have considered this when implementing this, but I decided not to for two reasons:

• I wanted to make sure that people reading this were aware that this is not the original post, so responding to it wouldn’t help (although that already slipped the mind of some people on /c/AmITheAsshole :D
• Second, I don’t want to piss off the content creators themselves. After all, they’re the ones we’d eventually want to start settling in the Fediverse.

So while it does mess up the preview, I think those are valid reasons to bear with it.

I’m open to be swayed by compelling arguments or a majority vote though.
