I am constantly dumbfounded how many of the highly capitalist nations pretend to have such a focus on family when it’s so clear that they care so little about them. More time working = less time with your family. They also push for bigger families too, so that individual children receive even less attention. It’s so weird.
The best part is when they claim that compatibility of family and job is important to them but all that translates to is “we need more childcare institutions”. Like, I don’t need a place where I can dump my toddler for 9 hours, I need a job where I can work 4 hours, have an ok pay and the prospect of advancing despite being at work for only a couple of hours
Corporate greed isn’t weird, it’s outright evil.
This is more specific to capitalism than just corporatism but I do agree with you.
