What a pathetic bitch he is, begging for votes. He must really be in trouble if he’s having to stoop to humiliating himself in front of Libertarians to close the gap

I’ve never seen him look so uncomfortable. Then he did that thing nice guys do when rejected, saying well I don’t need you anyway.

If I learned anything about public narcissists getting booed and hated in public, it doesn’t change them. Elon has been getting shit on for the past two years by people booing to his face, and he still walks into parties like, “Hey it’s Me Elon!”

While in office, the only action he took that is in line with Libertarian principles was tax relief. Even that was wildly disproportionate, skewed heavily toward the wealthy and corporations, and quickly expired for the working class upon his exit from office.

His authoritarian social legislation policies are in direct opposition to the Libertarian ideals of civil liberty.

Without a tangible reason to coerce them into his following, his only idea was to attempt to belittle them into submission. I’m betting he’s never held a conversation with a Libertarian before.

Why would he even go? It’s like Biden speaking at the green covention. Those people already hate the 2 parties. They aren’t gonna go back.

“If I wasn’t a Libertarian before, I sure as hell am a Libertarian now.”

If Libertarian-ism was 180 degrees and a mile in the opposite direction. Dictators notoriously go after the liberals and libertarians first.

I wouldn’t use the government to jail people, I just wouldn’t do that

No. You’d send in the national guard to shoot them for merely expressing their discontent.

Maybe you don’t want to win. Keep getting your 3% every 4 years.

    Win what? With Trump?

    • Loss of abortion access?
    • Loss of child tax credits?
    • Loss of freedom of expression?
    • Loss of library books?
    • Loss of civil liberties?
    • Loss of climate action?
    • Loss of accountability to rapist and fraudsters?

If Trump is the win for the libertarian party, then I would prefer to lose.

Convicted Sex Offender Treason Trump did not count on Libertarians having principles. He is used to people having no principles.

The GOP has been losing power ever since Clinton, because their most deeply held beliefs (less taxes for the rich, abortion bans, no public health care, more money to big business, no action on climate change) are wildly unpopular. Trump is the extinction burst - the frenzy of activity before the organism actually dies.

It remains to be seen whether they’ll be able to undo democracy to the point that they can stay in power regardless of how unpopular they are, and they have a plausible shot at it. But failing that I think all the gerrymandering in the world won’t be able to keep them around.

Yeah. It’s actually a really dangerous time.

Any organism faced with death will start to fight with everything in its power. Except this one is not a raccoon in the garage, it’s a whole nationwide organization with billions of dollars, prisons, weaponized propaganda every person sees every day, and a whole network of detention centers just waiting to turn into concentration camps.

Oh I see. When I said it, it’s because I thought that meant we were safe from this movement continuing to exist. But you’re right, it’s definitely more about being prepared for that death struggle

Agreed, yeah. “Probably gonna die” is not the same as “perfectly safe to be around in the meantime.”

Because if 3 percent voted for him that would normally vote for someone else, it could make a big difference in a close election.
