    Fun fact, Lemmy actually supports subscript, so you can do CO2. Surround in single tildes (as opposed to double tildes, for strike-out) to do it.

        Interesting. Might be something worth raising with the Voyager dev. I don’t use the app myself, but I believe they’re pretty responsive, no?

        The official Lemmy spec says it should be subscript.

        Then again, I just checked on Jerboa, and it doesn’t do any formatting for this at all. Literally just displays the tildes in my comment. Also, apparently on both Jerboa and the official web UI, any whitespace breaks parsing, so ^this isn’t superscript^ ^but^ ^this^ ^would^ ^be^ were it not in a code block.

          It’s weird, I kinda just assumed it’s the MD spec with nothing less nothing more

      Double fun fact, the Mlem app on iOS assumes you meant to do doubles tildes and strikes it out anyway :(
