Beer is a perfect mix of thirst quenching + inebriation. Problem is beer priced itself out it’s own niche because it took it’s market for granted. In order to sell upmarket they made their own low end products look unfashionable, to the point where the majority of bars and even pubs don’t even have their historical staples on tap. If you want budget conscious beer you’re pretty much stuck with buying a case and drinking at home by yourself.
