It actually does, but not in a very good way, IMO. When you make a mistake that it believes was caused by a misunderstanding of grammar, it shows a screen explaining the rule. Personally I’m really not a fan. I think it’s a decent way to revise a language you already learnt in a more structured way elsewhere, and maybe pick up a few new vocabulary words. It it’s not much more than that, and a terrible way to pick up a new language from scratch.
Ironically, they’ve actually made it worse this year than it used to be, too. By removing comments, they’ve removed the ability for volunteers to help out by explaining grammar and usage rules that aren’t obvious or well-explained y the app itself.
