Personally I think not having karma limits is nice currently! I understand why they were used but grinding karma as a lurker on reddit was frustrating.

Yeah I proposed that on one of the GitHub feature requests for Lemmy, per-instance configurable multi dimensional voting. The default implementation to be “relevant/irrelevant” and “agree/disagree”
