I’ve just removed a post that had c*&t in the title. I’m not going to get into specific rules, but I don’t want that language in post titles. In comments etc in context, fine. But post titles are displayed to all users without the possibility of being filtered.
Please think of others when posting.
Literally unaustralian.
On the off change you’re not joking… I believe it is unAustralian to be deliberately offensive and rude… which I consider out of context swearing (such as this) to be.
While Australia as a culture has a much higher threshold for swearing than most, and certainly the prudish Americans, I suppose federation means people will see the titles of Aussie.zone threads in their feeds so your decision makes sense.
At the same time I’d hate to see us get all uptight about swearing in routine discussions.
In summary: Swearing in titles: fuck no. Swearing in comments: fuck yes! :)
Pretty much this…
straight to me member of Parliament!
That’s a bloody outrage, that is. I’m gonna take this all the way to the Prime Minister!
Hey, Mr. Prime Minister!
Andy!
I will wager that there are a bunch of Aussie Lemmy and kbin instances.

There’s probably room in Australia for both an instance with and an instance without “cunt” in titles. In fact, with the existing instances and this one, one has a sufficient number of instances to cover all permutations of policy on each of at least three profane words being permitted in titles.
I’d encourage everyone to register on multiple instances and find one that feels right for them. If you don’t feel at home in a place that doesn’t allow the liberal uttering of “cunt” without warning, you’ll be better served elsewhere.
There is only one Aussie.zone
