San Francisco says tiny sleeping 'pods,' which cost $700 a month and became a big hit with tech workers, are not up to code

Bit misleading - they were made in a place that doesn’t have a residential building permit. They’re not “not up to code” in the way that the headline makes out.

The department said the pods, situated in Mint Plaza, were illegally installed without a residential building permit.
