I thought that was a legal safety requirement in the US.
I don’t know if it is, but you can always just use yt-dlp or something similar.

I used to see you all over Lemmy, then my client added automatic suppression of hugely expressive characters in usernames.

I sincerely hesitated before posting that, unsure of the word “affliction.” I’ve only ever known one person with it and they didn’t seem to suffer from it. However, their view of the world absolutely was fascinating.
