- Android 15 could revamp the lock screen and notifications panel to look better in landscape mode on phones.
- The lock screen can’t even be rotated into landscape mode on phones right now.
- Meanwhile, the notifications panel can be rotated into landscape mode, but the layout sacrifices a lot of space.
Will it make it easier to type
outorsweetieswipe again? I’m so tired of having to edit every other word in a text or email.I’mOn the other hand, much as Disney motivated me to finally investigate and implement amassNAS box, Alphabet is finally motivating me to look into Graphene OS. And Microsoft, with it’s Windows 11socketdickery, has me moving toward a Linux distro.Btw, any suggestions on a distro that let’s Nvidia work out of the box, runs
downSteam easily, and would allow me to use MS365 for work stuff without arguingtotoo much?I’d say PopOS, EndeavourOS (or just Arch), or just Fedora Linux 40 (might need to check a box to enable proprietary drivers on install for Nvidia to work right).
Nothing will run MS365 though, that’s just not on Linux (and Wine doesn’t work very well for modern versions). Best you can do is a Windows virtual machine if you need the actual applications and not the cloud version.
Yeah I’ll likely do a VM for 365. How does steam do on those distros? Or more specifically, how do BG3, Cyberpunk 2077, and RDR2 hold up? I’d just like to know how much wrestling I’m facing here
I’ve played 2077 and RDR2 on my PC (running arch Linux) with no problems. couple hundred hours between them. tbh I couldn’t compare to windows, since I just haven’t used windows in ~7 years
I guess it makes sense if there’s gonna be a feature like iPhone’s standby screen. Otherwise I’m disabling it right away. Lock Screen should be vertical
