What remains to be seen is the impact the reduction will have on prices consumers pay for pot or on the bottom line of cannabis companies.
We already know lol
We make our own caramels. I forgot them and had to buy edibles in Toronto at a really nice store. They sucked. Ours are way better. Someone came by yesterday and left with 64. That’s how you know they’re good.
Love the username 😄😄
Thanks. I didn’t give my username on Reddit enough thought. When I signed up here I was determined to come up with something better. I’m not sure that I won’t begin to regret this one but for now I’m happy with it.
The goal is not price reduction, though. It’s very clearly about making cannabis companies more profitable, so that means less tax burden with constant prices. I don’t understand why the journalist decided to raise that possibility.
Still waiting for them to increase thc limits on edibles!
Grey market I can get 10x20mg gummies for $14, and I’m good with one of them.
I’m also a fan of the beverages, but I would like to have an affordable 12 pack of say 2.5mg drinks so I can take a case to drink casually throughout the day
The market will demand edibles go up soon enough. It’s at the point that people need to consume a whole pack at a time once their tolerance builds up.
If I were a supplier, that might sound like a feature, not a bug.
Bro, there are cannabis shops on every damn corner. There are legit more cannabis shops than coffee shops where I am from.
No shit they can’t stay a float. Plus I see new ones opening all the time, DIRECTLY BESIDE already established ones.
I swear these people must get high before coming up with the great idea of starting a cannabis shop in Canada.
I still buy from the same guy I first bought from in 1966, the legal stuff cannot match his quality or price… Also his cannabis looks exactly like legal pot when it is in a baggie. I get 25mg edibles from another guy at a very reasonable cost. The federal government never even once seemed to have an idea of the costs the black market charged, as on opening day the cheapest legal pot I could find was 3 times more expensive than the higher quality stuff I have access to.
That’s no dealer, that’s a career budtender
since 1966? Are you both lifetime pals now?
When we met I was 12 and he was 18 and yes we have been lifelong friends. I hope he outlives me.
Yeah why the fuck would I want to pay $50 for a half gram of live resin when I can get an entire ounce for $250-270 from the grey/blackmarket producers and extractors under the table lol.
I haven’t gotten blazed in like a decade. How is the stuff in the legal shops these days? Particularly since I can’t roll to save my life and have a bit of asthma, are the pre-built filtered smokes okay? I know they’re ludicrously overpriced, but I’m not planning on smoking a lot - I mean quality experience.
I haven’t been to dispensaries in Ont. Just Sk, Man, AB, BC. This is mainly regarding bud:
Due to storage regulations, shits usally dry as fuck. And if you care about more than just the thc%, you won’t find much. Might not be best for an asthmatic person. I’d just look into edibles tbh.
Grey/blackmarket or homegrown is vastly superior quality over all in my experiences
Thanks for the heads-up.
