B1 is fun, B2 is great fun, BTPS is decent, B3 is terrible.
It’s like they saw someone playing the other games and thought “we can do that too!” And totally missed the mark on so many shots. My favorite thing about the game is the part where we sit down and watch our friends get attacked and killed in cutscenes. I can’t tell you how many times I shouted “I have a rocket launcher, a shotgun, an assault rifle, and a pistol! LET ME SHOOT HIM!”
Watching ____ die the most bullshit stupid death in video game history was what really dropped it down to a 3/10 for me. I HAVE GUUUUUUUNS LET ME SHOOT HIM. It’s like they tried to recreate ______'s death from BL2, but they didn’t realize that he died because ____ caught the entire group off guard. We didn’t have time to shoot him before he teleported in, shot the guy, did a spoiler, and teleported out. We were watching Troy the ENTIRE TIME he was killing ____.
In B1 and B2 the humor was stupid but really funny, in B3 the writers seemed to focus on the stupid part and not on the funny part.
B3 felt like a test to see how bad they could write a game and still get people to buy it.
And the map/travel system in tiny Tina’s wonderland is so bad I don’t want to play what seems to be a good game
I couldn’t get into wonderland. The humour/style didn’t work for me and I found it obnoxious about how the game needs to make a joke every other minute. I enjoyed 1 and 2 and TPS and the telltale game but at this point I’ve outgrown borderlands.
Well the dungeon Master is a psychotic 13 year old so… yeah… TPS was terrible because of all that low grav bullshit.
But to each their own
Nah, it’s not specifically Tina. It’s the style of humour borderlands has that doesn’t work for me now.
The only thing I hated about it was how disappointed with the DLC expectations they had set in previous Borderlands games.
I played through 1 and 2, but I just don’t seem to be able to enjoy borderlands 3 enough to play it through. I’m not hyped.
The writing was always stupid, but 3 turned extra-self-congratulatory-stupid.
Handsome Jack was a great “love-to-hate” villain. The villains in BL3 were equally boring and annoying.
The other two were actually fun, nr.3 tries to be fun. Too little shooting, too much cutscenes and bad dialogue too, oh well.
The best part of 3 was the Traunt miniboss
3 was such a slog. Stupid angsty teens with magical powers a good video game villain does not make.
The ending was such a painful cringe. The whole game really but especially the twins and ava. Oh man though ava’s line when Lilith does her thing at the end.
I also feel personally insulted that they bothered to include tales characters but did nothing meaningful with them and didn’t even put an ‘enhance’ gag in there.
Low low expectations of 4 and most likely skip.
Are you telling me that with a TV series about to release the guy that made the IP is promoting a possible new game!?

He’s a weirdo, but I think it was just normal porn. Maybe it was some porn with magic tricks, since he’s into that as well.
Which games funding is he going to funnel into developing this one instead of making the game he’s being paid to make?
