Oh John Casablancas, Trump’s homey from the early 90s when they both liked hanging out with underage models via the Look of the Year contest. Same John Casablancas who was a sexual assaulter of those same underage girls and who was begged by his assistant to “stop having sex with underage girls”

Crazy how Trump surrounds himself with dudes that like to do weird shit with underage girls and weird sex trafficking shit like John Casablancas and Alan Dershowitz and Ralph Shortey and George Nader and the Fanjul bros and Roy Cohn and Epstein and how Trump has ties to AMI/Black Cube, the weird mercenary intelligence company Weinstein used just like Trump did to buy rights to stories and kill them before they could be released to the public

    Teflon Don indeed

Like, I don’t hang out with pedophile sex trafficking assholes. It’s not hard to just not do that, and the benefit is I’ve never been accused of anything.

    Crazy

In reference to the court documents, John Casablancas was mentioned only in questioning without any direct allegations, however, I believe he came up in questioning because of his relationship with David Cooperfield, the magician, and pedophile it seems.

One allegation already made public concerns David Copperfield, an associate of both Casablancas and Trump, who judged Look of the Year in 1988 and 1991, and once dated another Elite supermodel, Claudia Schiffer. Two years ago, as the #MeToo movement reverberated through the entertainment industry, he was the subject of allegations by Brittney Lewis, a 17-year-old contestant in the 1988 Look of the Year, held in Japan. According to her account, published on the entertainment news website The Wrap, Copperfield invited her to a show in California after she had returned home to Utah. Lewis alleged that she saw Copperfield pour something into her glass and then blanked out, but says she retained hazy recollections of him sexually assaulting her in his hotel room.

In 2000, New York magazine reported that two of Elite’s senior women executives had pleaded with both Casablancas and Marie to stop sleeping with underage models, but had been ignored. (“We are men,” Marie reportedly said. “We have our needs.”) In 2011, the Elite supermodel and actor Carré Otis alleged that Marie had repeatedly raped her when she was a 17-year-old model in Paris in the 1980s.

I find it fascinating how there are so many high profile POIs in that list. Like, specifically that they’re high profile and not from the same line of work.

If you’re working in Hollywood, you’d expect to know stars, but only incidentally politicians. If you’re in DC, the reverse is true.

when I was looking some of these people up, I was surprised how many billionaires came up…

In the 37th annual Forbes list of the world’s billionaires, the list included 2,640 billionaires with a total net wealth of $12.2 trillion, down 28 members and $500 billion from 2022.

however, when considering that there are only ~2,600 billionaires in the world, I could see how these ultra rich only associate with each other.

I’m not going to get into too much interpretation of the names on this list until more details come out.

The way Epstein worked was to court those he saw as socially powerful - scientists, business leaders, politicians, actors - and fete them to create a social network around himself. He might throw a dinner party and say Bill Clinton is coming, and he’s really interested in your ideas about eradicating malaria.” I don’t know if he did so with the intent of feeding his own ego or of increasing his own sphere of influence, wealth, and power, although he obviously did so.

I also know that with at least a subset of his social network, he engaged in enabling the rape of children, and that this was key to several of those relationships.

What I’m not certain of at this time is who among his social network were of the dinner party set and who were part of the raping children set. Having spent a lot of time in academia, I honestly believe that it’s entirely possible - I’d even call it probable - that there’s many people of note who would not have heard of Epstein and who would not have harbored a suspicion that they should check out someone looking to introduce them to philanthropists or people in positions of power. I’ve had meals with Nobel laureates and could not have told you anything about anyone else at the table who weren’t previously known to me, and even there the context would be limited to their professional work.

I think this needs to be investigated fully, and I think that anyone guilty of raping children should have the consequences of their actions. I’m just unwilling to judge an association based on a list of names of a known social crawler whose entire purpose was collecting people.

I’m simply saying that I’m going to hold off on making assumptions about the nature of their relationship to Epstein without further revelations.

The problem with waiting for investigations is that rich people have a tendency to evade them, many will only be tried in the court of public opinion.

Rich people can afford to pay lawyers and evade courts; now the rich and powerful have the support from the captured system… which is why Epstein was tipped off to his search warrant.

I guess what I’m saying is that legal and social systems should only be engaged with in good faith if they are shown to be trustworthy and working. If they are flagrantly abused by some, then all is fair.

For example, democracy is not a great invention because it lets people have a say in who gets to call the shots. People have a say either way. With democracy, it’s just they can do so with votes instead of guillotines.

Some of the names are mentioned only in questioning, others are directly implicated as abusers. The relevant details are in the forum post.
