Well Turkey, if you’re wondering why you’re not being let into the EU…
As if Erdog wants to. Can’t manipulate the currency if Turkey is in the EU.
That will be the consequence in other countries rolling back on LGBT issues, looking at you Hungary and Poland, too. First it will be illegal to be “actively gay” in public, then it will be illegal to “look gay” and eventually police will put you in jail based on something something gay so their crowny friends can take your house, car, job etc. But then it will be too late.
How is “Looking gay” defined according to Turkish law? Just being handsome as hell?

I would be surprised if this wasn’t caused by a “very straight” policeman trying to compensate for his own sexual confusion.
As far as I know, homosexuality isn’t even illegal in Turkiye. Seems like police just making up rules as usual.
Yeah, I think he was quite unlucky, he was not even aware of the attempt to a pride parade and made the fatal mistake of asking for directions to the area where the pride would happen and there you go, 9 days unable to make a phone call in overcrowded prisons and more 11 days in prison after the first phone call. Welcome to Türkye…
Well, I guess it’s time for our ministries of foreign affairs to put Turkey on the list of countries to which travel is discouraged.
Conservatism is oppression. Period.
This is some middle school bullying type shit
So he actually was gay? Plot twist
Seems totally reasonable thing to do. If you’re looking to suppress tourism that is.
