The trial is being extended every year since introduced in late 2020.

      (24 hours x 31 days) x 2 t4g.small instances = 1,488 hours (jfc what are the odds on that being the resulting amount of hours -_-)

      (6 hours x 31 days) x 4 instances = 744 hours

      The intent is to give you about one free t4g.small instance for free each month, but they don’t care how you actually use it. If you want to leave a single instance up 24/7, cool. If you want to trial a larger project that has multiple supporting instances also cool, but you’re not getting anything free beyond the equivalent of a single instance running 24/7.

      Edit - I am very sorry for necroing this comment/post. I somehow fat fingered my way into iamroot’s post history from a recent post, then sat down and started scrolling under the assumption I was looking at my current All feed. Rip me I guess.

    Was searching for completely unrelated communities, decided to click on this one, and now I’ve ended up with an AWS account and a year of free compute in the cloud. Have no idea how that happened, but thanks!
