This French ‘bayonet’ has a second function, it also is a full size saber. It was mostly used by guards, upon the direct orders of Emperor Louis Napoleon III.

      This one isn’t, this is just a big fuck off bayonet, but if you want to see a ballistically fired blade make sure to join the community because you’ve given me an idea of something worth posting.

    According to Ian’s video, this example is at the Cody Firearms Museum. I spent several hours there a few years ago and barely scratched the surface of their extensive collection. If you’re ever near Cody, WY and have time, it’s worth the trip.
