    My dinner tonight

    Spicy cauliflower, zucchini and leek soup with a dukkah crusted salmon.

    My knot roll was a little erotic

      That salmon looks amazing. “dukkah crusted” is definitely going on my salmon to-do list.

      The knot roll is just really happy to be sharing such a nice meal with you.

    I’m just about to make a start on some risotto.

    I’m running a bit late due to some last minute preserving, as the food cupboard got a massive delivery, including some perishables. Lots of cream dated today, so I’ve got some in the freezer for future cooking and made some creamy mushroom sauce to freeze and will use some in the risotto. I got some corn which I plan to use for fritters, but I’m not sure when I’ll get time so I’ve stripped the kernals and put them in the freezer for now. Lots of eggs, cauliflower & other veg too, so I’ll need to do some more cooking for the freezer over the next couple of days - it’s all stuff being thrown out by the supermarket, so whilst it is still perfectly edible it does not have a long life span in the fridge, so the clock is ticking!

    Taco… Toco Monday yeah?

    Well, whatever, my 11yr requested it as she wanted an easier meal to cook for everyone.

    I’m all for getting my kids cooking, but the stress of using a freshly sharpened Global knife required a couple beers afterwards.
