Just remembered using Brave stops the ads. I think I stopped using it for other reasons (Chromium based and I can’t seem to queue or sort out making playlists) but might go back to that because the amount of gambling ads are unbelievable.

Edit: Also if you have Android I think there’s an alternative called Piped? There’s a few but I think I tried to watch something linked through an alternative on iOS and it wouldn’t let me
Were you using adblockers? That move is greedy and unethical on YouTube’s part, I won’t get myself blocked but neither will I pay them.
of course I use adblockers
at the same time I pay for patreon subscriptions , why should I pay double, eh
