Amsterdam is trialing its most ambitious traffic project yet. They are cutting off car traffic on a major 4-lane arterial road through the city. This has got the right-wingers panties in a bunch, but the trial is still underway. Will this lead to a utopian city or carmageddon?

    I’ve already shamelessly dropped this in my local sub with heavy hinting at one particular street to trigger off all the “InTeRsTaTe Is AlWaYs BaCkEd Up (even thought that basically never happens)” crowd

    This is awesome! I loved that he pointed out the irony in car drivers complaining that closing the street would increase the amount of pollution because you know, they’re soooo concerned about pollution.

      Yes, especially in a city like Amsterdam (and the rest of Netherlands) where better transport options are widely available! Just don’t take a car at all of you are even remotely concerned with pollution!
