Instead of scrolling somewhere else this morning, I spent the morning being nostalgic and watching Doug and the Slugs videos, and now I have Day by Day stuck in my head.

Music from my childhood, makes me think of my mum and dad.

Thought I’d share here for fun!

I don’t think so, the whole reason I was being nostalgic about them the other day, was because I saw that they were playing this summer with Splodgenessabounds, who I was also feeling nostalgic about, and felt compelled to give them a listen. I am certain the billing said Doug and the Slugs, else I would not have gone looking for “the slugs”

This is one of those bands that I forget about, but I know they have some great music. I just somehow fail to correlate the songs I like with the fact that they made them! I should get a DatS playlist going.

I remember Doug and The Slugs as a house band way back when I lived in Victoria. Great band! Chinatown Calculation an alltime fave! ‘That’s cool with no regrets!’.

My dad was a Doug and the Slugs fanboy when he was young. I grew up listening to “Making it Work”, “Too Bad”, and “Day by Day” all the time.

I remember my parents going to see Doug and the Slugs at LuLus in Kitchener, ON, and being pissed I couldn’t go even though I was like 5.
