As valuable as this research is, i’m not sure it really goes any meaningful way to solving the problem of PFAS throughout our production systems. They are so intermixed with eveything, non-stick frypans, even apparently sticky notes have some sort of PFAS.
I think the key concentration needs to be on a broad reduction in their use. Until we make better progress down that vein, some complicated burning process is never going to capture enough of the millions of thrown out frypans per year to make a difference.

Stumbled across this, the movie Dark Waters is good, sad, but good.
Looks like i’s wrong, seems theres a whole lot of PFAS contaminated sludge that is already burned and spread across a wider zone. Maybe the CSIRO et al, are onto something here.
