The deal gives Ukraine “military equipment and the right to fight on, and originally, the right to fight,” Trump said.

The finalized agreement, dated Feb. 24, reportedly offers Kyiv no security guarantees in exchange for 50% of revenues from the “future monetization” of Ukraine’s state-owned mineral resources.

If we can at some point get ourselves out of this fascistic mess, I anticipate the treaty will be torn up from the American side, as I can’t imagine it’s anything other than incredibly onerous and usurious towards Ukraine with regards to the exploitation terms.

They had every right to fight on before this and will continue to have that right whatever the outcome of this “deal” is.

That’s bullshit, that’s utter and complete bullshit. And it’s bullying of a victim of an aggression.

The US is a lost case and an ally to ruzzia.

A mineral deal was Zelenskyy’s idea to begin with. Whether this is that mineral deal or not we don’t know yet.

I’m pretty sure the 50% of all mineral revenue wasn’t Zelensky. That’s an outrageous figure that’s going to be cancelled as soon as possible.

If there’s no security guarantees, then this war will just drag on and yea hopefully either someone sensible will cancel this or Ukraine does something clever that results in state not owning any rare earths/metals/minerals directly, ensuring this agreement becomes worthless.

I hate it but it actually could be strategically the right move. This war could stretch for another few years. Which means by the time Ukraine actually ramps up their minerals business the orange baby hopefully is out of office (and behind bars). And then this bullshit contract can be thrown out or renegotiated.

Yeah I’d immediately abandon that deal as soon as it’s useful to do so just like the US did with the 92 security agreement they reneged on.

Yeah I’ve been starting to think this too. Zelensky is just trying to get security NOW, but knows the USA situation can change at any time again, like it just did.

Get security now, sue or just ignore the agreement later.

I’ve also read that there might not be as much minerals as everyone makes out. Data is from old Soviet era surveys.
